I know it's so hard to plan anything, especially something as big as a whole travel adventure in the time COVID-19. Travel rules and government safety measures change constantly. But you can still dream of exploration and plan travel for next year, and I'm here to help you make that a reality.
Because it's been such a challenge, I've worked out a temporary payment policy with my overseas destination managers to minimize the risk.
For tours booked in 2020 for summer travel in 2021, you can simply put down a $275USD deposit, make payments when you want to (but no later than November 1, 2020 for Georgia, December 1, for Slovenia), and if CleverDever Adventures has to cancel you have a couple of options to preserve your travel funds.
For tours booked for travel in 2021, you can reserve your spot with a $275USD deposit, and make payments when you want to (but no later than August 1, 2021), and if CleverDever Adventures has to cancel you have a couple of options to preserve your travel funds.

At Time of Booking
$275 to book - non-refundable after 24 hours (Georgia June 14-23, 2021 and Slovenia July 4-10 and August 16-26, 2021)
$275 to book - non-refundable after 24 hours (Georgia September 6-15, 2021)
Once the Trip is Confirmed
The tour will be confirmed once it reaches the minimum number of guests. The minimum number of guests for Georgia is 6.
The Balance can be paid either in full or via a payment plan at any time after the confirmation of the tour. You will be sent an invoice to pay according to the payment option you selected at the time of booking (either pay in full or payment plan)
For 6 payment plan guests, payments must start by November 1st, 2020, final payment is due no later than April 1st, 2021
For Slovenia July 4-10, 2021
For pay in full guests, the trip must be fully paid by December 1st, 2020
For 6 payment plan guests, payments must start by December 1st, 2020, final payment is due no later than May 1st, 2021
For Slovenia August 16-26, 2021
For pay in full guests, the trip must be fully paid by January 1st, 2021
For 6 payment plan guests, payments must start by January 1st, 2021, final payment is due no later than June 1st, 2021
For Georgia September 6-15, 2021
For pay in full guests, the balance payment of $4,720.00 USD is due 30 days after deposit is paid, but no later than August 1, 2021. The trip must be fully paid by August 1st, 2021
For 2 payment plan guests, payments of $2,460 USD will start on July 1, 2021. Final payment is due no later than August 1st, 2021.

Between time of purchase and October 31, 2020, if you feel you must cancel your 2021 tour spot due to COVID-19, you can apply for a refund less the $275 deposit. Please contact CleverDever Adventures in writing at cleverdeveradventures@gmail.com
From November 1, 2020 until April 14, 2021 you can apply for a refund less 25% of the total trip price.
From April 15th (59 days prior) tour is non-refundable. However, you CAN reschedule to preserve all trip funds. See “Rescheduling” below.
Slovenia July 4-10, 2021 Refund Dates:

From December 1, 2020 until May 4, 2021 you can apply for a refund less 25% of the total trip price.

Slovenia August 16-26, 2021 Refund Dates:

From January 1, 2021 until June 16, 2021 you can apply for a refund less 25% of the total trip price.

Georgia September 6-15, 2021 Refund Dates:
Between the time of purchase and January 31, 2021, if you feel you must cancel your 2021 tour spot, you can apply for a refund less the $275 deposit. Please contact CleverDever Adventures in writing at cleverdeveradventures@gmail.com
From February 1, 2021 until July 6, 2021 you can apply for a refund less 25% of the total trip price.
From July 7th (59 days prior) tour is non-refundable. However, you CAN reschedule to preserve all trip funds. See “Rescheduling” below.

Guest Rescheduling:
If at any time up to your 2021 tour start date, you feel you must postpone your travels with CDA due to COVID-19, you may reschedule your tour to a future date without penalty. If you aren’t sure which future tour dates will work, you can keep the credit and rebook for up to two years. If you prefer to cancel, please see the above deadlines to determine the amount of refund available to you.
CDAdventures Rescheduling:
In the highly exceptional event that CDA must reschedule a trip due to COVID-19, CDA will reschedule you on the future trip of your choice. If you opt-out of the future trip, we will refund all payments less the $275 deposit.
Pre and Post Tour Extensions
This policy also applies to pre- and post-tour extensions. (However, you may be able to recover all or part of your cancellation fee through your travel insurance policy.)
Double Occupancy Cancellation
If you reserved the double occupancy rate and a roommate cancels prior to 60 days before departure, we will make every effort to match you with a new roommate. If we cannot, the single supplement rate will apply. If your roommate cancels less than 60 days prior to departure, the company will cover the single supplement.
Participation in Tours
Downtime is important. I feel you. That's why I've scheduled a good amount of it into almost every day. But I understand that sometimes you still need some time to yourself or a morning off. Do it. I won't be offended at all, this is your trip and I want you to enjoy it your way.
Please know though, that any parts of the tour that you decide not to participate in, or any goods, tastings, or meals you opt-out of will not result in a price reduction. No refunds shall be given for any pre-booked accommodation, activities, tours, or any other pre-booked goods, meals or services which is not utilized. If you do not want to follow the tour’s itinerary, no worries, but there are no refunds for any parts of the tour missed.
Please note: Arriving late or leaving a tour in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of the tour.
Trip Insurance
Trip Insurance should be purchased as soon as you put your deposit down. While the worldwide health concern and coverage is ever-changing, medical and evacuation insurance is still required.
Trip interruption insurance is highly recommended for any schedule irregularities or missed flights and lost baggage. This will also help in the event that you have to cancel for any other reason not related to COVID-19. Policy for Cancellation of Bookings by CleverDever Adventures
CDA will only cancel a paid Booking for force majeure events (e.g., Company personnel illnesses or emergencies, global health crises, acts of war or terrorism, actions by Guests reasonably deemed unprofessional or other circumstances that would bring undue hardship upon the Company). Such cancellation shall be made in writing (email is acceptable). In such cases, the CDA and you agree to discuss the circumstances regarding a pending cancellation, however, CDA shall make the final decision regarding cancellation, non-cancellation or a potential re-scheduling. You understand and agree that the CDA's sole responsibility and liability in the case of cancellation shall be a refund of tour monies paid less the $275USD deposit (summer 2021 trips) or $475 deposit (fall 2021 trip) that was purchased through the Company.
CleverDever Adventures reserves the right to cancel any tour because of inadequate enrollment that makes the tour economically infeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the guests.
